Ursula Gouws Consulting Price Tracker

A Price Tracker is a tool you can use to keep track of how much you are spending on groceries each month and make sure that you are not overspending.

Are you tired of spending more money than you can afford on your monthly grocery bills?

If so, it might be time to start creating a Price Tracker.

Freebie is available on my website to make your own Price Tracker.  There are How to Use Instructions included in the download.

Here are a few steps to get started with using a Price Tracker for your groceries

Step 1: Set Your Budget

The first step in creating your Price Tracker is setting your budget.

Before you even think about tracking prices, it is important to have an idea of the amount of money that you want or need to spend on groceries each month.

This will help keep you from going over budget when grocery shopping.

Once you have an idea of how much money is available for groceries each month, then it is time to start tracking prices.

Step 2: Track Grocery Prices

Now that you have set your budget.  The next step is to start tracking the prices of the items that you typically buy at the grocery store.

You can do this by writing down the prices of items as they appear on the shelf.  Or by saving receipts from previous purchases.  Or noting down the price in a journal or spreadsheet.

When it comes time to buy something, you know exactly how much it will cost and if it fits into your budget or not.

Step 3: Compare Prices Across Stores

Once you have tracked prices at one store, then it is time to start comparing prices across stores.

This will help you to find out which store has the best deals for specific items on your list.  And will allow you to save even more money.

You can easily compare prices online or by visiting multiple stores in person until you find the best deal on everything that is on your list.

Step 4: Monitor Prices Over Time

The last step is monitoring prices over time.  If something starts getting more expensive, then you know where else to go shopping in order to save some money.

Tracking prices over time will also help alert you if something goes on sale.

If there is something specific that your need to purchase right away, then at least there won’t be any surprises when it comes time to pay at checkout.

Conclusion

All in all, creating and using a Price Tracker is a great way to save some extra cash each month if you are struggling financially.

By following these four simple steps—setting a budget, tracking grocery prices, comparing prices across stores, and monitoring prices over time—you can ensure that no hidden costs surprise you.

With these tips in mind, now all that is left is for you to get out there and start saving.
